Focus and Scope

CE Measure is a peer-reviewed, multi-disciplinary journal devoted to continuing healthcare education outcomes that is available in an electronic format. Outcomes research and measurement is an important focal point for gauging the impact of educational activities on immediate, retained, and applied learning among healthcare professionals. CE Measure offers its readership peer-reviewed articles authored by leading outcomes researchers and developers to address important and current aspects of outcomes research, methodologies, models, results, practice-based protocols, commentaries, CE conference highlights and abstracts, and case histories.

The mission of CE Measure is to provide an intellectual platform for the exchange of information, and to dialogue, and debate concepts and issues important to the advancement of outcomes modeling and application in continuing professional education. The Editor and the Editorial Board encourage submission of manuscripts that describe and discuss conventional as well as non-conventional approaches to outcomes research and measurement, and that offer new and innovative perspectives and interpretations on subjects and issues appropriate to the scope of the journal. CE Measure challenges experts and novices alike to apply the same rigor to outcomes research and analysis that would be expected of any verifiable scientific pursuit.

Peer Review Process

New manuscripts are reviewed by the Editorial Board for originality, content, relevancy, and adherence to outcomes protocols. CE Measure features an efficient submission and peer review process with an anticipated completion time of 30 to 60 business days from the date of receipt of the original manuscript. Any questions or comments generated during peer review will be forwarded to authors by e-mail. A prompt response to these questions is necessary to ensure timely publication. When revisions to the manuscript are requested by the Editorial Board, the authors must make the necessary changes prior to publication. Those changes will be reviewed by the Editorial Board to determine if the authors have sufficiently addressed their concerns. Manuscripts deemed to be inadequately revised will be rejected. The Editor has the final say as to publication.
